Pedagogy

The word "pedagogy" is the convergence of two Greek roots. On one hand, the noun παις (pais) meaning child. Furthermore,  its diminutive παιδιον (paidon) that can be translated as little boy or kid. On the other hand the verb ἄγω (ago), meaning to guide or to lead. Therefore, in brief we can explain "pedagogy" as the science of education. By extension, pedagogy leads with the method of teaching. Pedagogy is closely related to other sciences such as Psychology, Sociology and Anthropology.

Basically, the objective of pedagogy is to plan, analyze, develop and evaluate teaching and learning processes. It aims to improve the educational reality in different areas: family, school, society, environment...

St. Claret Chiutsi Primary has done a serious and professional option for the pedagogical innovation. If Saint Anthony Mary Claret invited us to proclaim the Word of God through all the possible means, St. Claret school tries to educate also through all the possible means.
